Got 2 Make It! Introducing“NexWorld”
God has Granted us NexWorld to His Kingdom and the universe will take notice. Who is this upcoming giant of an entertainer we are coming to know as “NexWorld”? For starters, his signature is stamped on a collection of songs to be included on the album GOT 2 MAKE IT from Holy Child Gospel. A fine selection of contemporary Gospel, reggae and urban sounds complete this disc. “My music is a defining sound of r&b with pop mixed with holy lyrics,” says NexWorld. “I am still glorifying the Lord even with a very contemporary sound”.
The lead single is the title track and features a music video filmed in his hometown – Phoenix, AZ. It just happens to be his favorite song as well. He adds: “This song reminds me that I’ve got 2 make it to heaven. I am no longer pointing fingers to who may have done me wrong. The focus is just getting to heaven”.
Born in Akron, Ohio, NexWorldhad typical dreams of many little boys hoping to secure a recording contract. He’d vanish away from his parents and into his bedroom, locking the door and pretending to be a pop star. While traveling down ‘music row’ in Nashville, TN, the starry eyes kid was gazing at the various record labels and it hit him – “that’s what I am dreaming for”. Many years later, he would relocate to Phoenix. After winning the Arizona Gospel Music Convention New Artist Showcase, he quickly caught the eyes and ears of Holy Child Gospel – a label based in Phoenix. That led to many local performances including singing the national anthem at Major League Baseball’s Arizona Diamondback game.
Having shared the stage with veterans such as CeCe Peniston, Carlos Santana and others, he has honed his performing skills. Heavily influenced by 80’s music such as Heavy D and Troop, this youngest of three also dabbled into the funk bands of the 70s like the Average White Band and Earth, Wind & Fire. He credits his singing style to the likes of Aaron Hall (Guy), Charlie Wilson (Gap Band), Fred Hammond and even his uncle – Gary Williams, an original member of the O’Jays.
Produced by his pastor – Apostle Duane McCoy, NexWorld received his moniker. The story goes, “I was in the studio and the Apostle was looking through some synonymns and decided we shouldn’t use my real name Humphrey and came up with NexWorld after doing some study to find out what’s behind the name and it just fit because my music is of the next world”. With this project, Holy Child Gospel wants to deliver a harmonious sound for every generation in Gospel.

Badiyah
Newly signed with Holy Child Gospel, for her Debut Album release "THE MESSIAH". As a little girl Badiyah grew up sitting in band rehearsals with artist's such as Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes and The Delfonics as her father rehearsed for Tours.
In 1999 at the age of 19 she was offered an R& B recording deal from Jive Records, in which at such a tender age she declined. In the summer of 2002 Badiyah sung for the wedding of Frank Tucker & Leslie George (sister to Eddie George of the Dallas Cowboys) for TLC's (The Learning Channel) "A Wedding Story". Which resulted in her singing for the wedding of Tamara Johnson formally known as "Taj" of the R&B group SWV (Sisters With Voices) and Eddie George at the Rockleigh Country Club in Pearl Harbor, New York sharing the stage with R & B recording artist Mario.
She has also shared the stage with Gospel Recording Artists Hezekiah Walker, B.B Jay, Benita Farmer, Jeff Murrell, Joy Unlimited Gospel Choir, Paul Owens and Chorale. Badiyah has performed at many musical venues and churches throughout the local and Tri State area, such as Warm Daddy's and The Cleft Club. She has also ministered with several local groups such as Tony Moore & Christian Girl, John Murray & Worship, Steve Middleton & Unity Praise, Larry Graham & Friends, Andre Harris & Anointed Move and Damon Harris Productions.
Her calling to become a gospel recording artist became apparent to her like never before during an instore performance. Although Badiyah wasn't at the forefront of these ministries she gave 100% of her time and gift knowing that all things must be done to the Glory of God.
